I’m co-chair of my progressive teachers’ union’s political advocacy committee, and I sit on the boards of
- the Montgomery County Young Democrats
- the Montgomery Blair High School Magnet Foundation, which supports the Blair Math/Science/Computer Science Magnet Program; and
- the Harvard Club of Washington.
I am an alumnus of the Center for American Progress’s first class of Leadership Institute fellows and of the New Organizing Institute’s Data Bootcamp.
While in college, I spent my time editing The Harvard Ichthus, serving on the board of the South Asian Association, singing/beatboxing with the LowKeys, and making mischief with the Mather House Council. In my senior year, I was elected by my classmates to represent Mather House on the Harvard 2010 Class Committee. In high school, I spent long hours as Editor-in-Chief of my school’s Pacemaker-winning newspaper Silver Chips, singing/beatboxing with InToneNation, and running (slowly but deliberately) with the Blair Cross Country team.
